The following is a list of my previous roles, including the company, role, and dates. Rather than detailing each role in their own page, I have provided a brief overview of each role.

bet365

  • Role: Team Leader
  • Dates: November 2005 to February 2007
  • Description: This was first role as a team leader, and I was responsible for the development of the bet365 website, leading a team of developers, and working with the business to understand their needs and then making sure that the code was delivered on time and to the required quality.

LSC Group

  • Role: Lead Developer
  • Dates: November 2003 to November 2005
  • Description: This was first opportunity to work with web technologies, and I was responsible for the development of a PDP application used in Staffordshire University to allow students to manage their personal development plans. It was written in PHP 5 and MySQL, and was a great learning experience. I was also reponsible for the documentation of proposals for new projects that were being considered by the business and helped pre-sales ensure that the proposals were well thought out and that the business understood the risks and benefits of the projects.

Instem Lss Ltd

  • Role: Senior Software Engineer
  • Dates: September 1997 to October 2003
  • Description: I truly grateful for being given the oppportunity to join Instem LSS as a trainee developer. It was first role as a developer, and I was responsible for the development of a a series of applications used within the pre-clinical drug development process. Initially I worked on reporting application that was used to generate reports for the clinical trials, and then moved on to develop an application that allowed companies to manage their resources across their projects. I started out working with Pro*C on Oracle 7, running on OpenVMS, and then moved on to working with Visual Basic 6, and then Visual Basic .NET. I also gained experience working with OpenText Content Server, which sparked my interest in content management systems but also with the development of a web applications.
